Cleaning air inlet grilles with the SpeedMaster SR protects the surfaces of the grilles while effectively removing dirt and limescale

Air inlet grilles made of PVC are installed in heat exchangers worldwide, e.g. in cooling towers. They retain coarse contaminants, especially in suction-ventilated units. The air inlet grilles are also impermeable to water and sunlight and reduce algae growth.

However, calcification can occur on the surfaces of the air inlet grilles. The calcifications harden into limestone over time if they are not removed beforehand. Such limestone can no longer be removed mechanically from the thin, sensitive surfaces without damaging the grids. Kipp Umwelttechnik therefore recommends regular cleaning before the limescale hardens too much. If cleaned in good time, the grilles can be cleaned while still installed. Together with its sister company mycon GmbH, Kipp Umwelttechnik has developed a special process for this purpose: SpeedMaster SR. It achieves high cleaning power at a pressure of just 2 bar without damaging the sensitive plastic surfaces. Even the galvanized frame profiles are not attacked.

However, Kipp Umwelttechnik also achieves very good cleaning results without damaging the air inlet grilles, even with existing heavy limescale deposits. However, the grilles must be removed beforehand. Cleaning is then carried out at Kipp Umwelttechnik in several steps using SpeedMaster SR + combination units. A total of four steps are then required to clean heavy limescale deposits. Nevertheless, the cleaning is definitely worthwhile in relation to the new price.

SpeedMaster SR offers a wide range of applications

Cleaning air inlet grilles is just one of many possible applications for SpeedMaster SR. The process can be used in a variety of ways, for example to remove thick, highly viscous layers of grease. Even painted surfaces remain undamaged when cleaned with the SpeedMaster SR.

The SpeedMaster SR process can also be used to clean bogies from the railroad sector.

Environmental compatibility of the SpeedMaster SR

The environmental friendliness of the process was also taken into account when developing the process: The operating materials used for cleaning with SpeedMaster SR are separable and can be used several times.
