Development of cost-effective systems makes fully automated cleaning systems economical

With the JetMaster system from mycon GmbH, finned heat exchangers of any design can be cleaned by means of high-speed / cavitation action. Only 0.20-075 liters of water per minute are used for this. This means that the process can also be used in moisture-sensitive environments. The overall JetMaster+ system offers four different combination options that can be precisely tailored to the cleaning task.

The cleaning of finned heat exchangers in the interior of food production or food storage areas is always a critical point, which is why it is sometimes postponed for as long as possible. JetMaster also offers the option of cleaning heavily loaded finned heat exchangers in these areas without dismantling. Special nozzles are used here. The extremely low water volume of less than 0.50 l per minute required for cleaning can be collected together with the cleaning residues and then disposed of.

Cleaning inaccessible or non-removable plate and tube bundle heat exchangers

Plate and tube bundle heat exchangers that are not accessible or can be dismantled can also be cleaned. A rinsing process developed by mycon GmbH is used for this purpose. Preferably “green” chemicals, some of which are also used in the food sector, deliver convincing cleaning results.

Cleaning tube bundle heat exchangers with the TubeMaster system

Even heavily soiled shell and tube heat exchangers can be cleaned using the TubeMaster system. Either dry ice or granulate can be used as a blasting agent. It is also possible to polish the inner pipe surfaces using the process. TubeMaster can be used both manually and automatically. Both variants are also available for rent and purchase from mycon GmbH. It is also possible to purchase a rented system at any time. The service is carried out throughout Germany by Kipp Umwelttechnik, a sister company of mycon GmbH. In Switzerland, the service is provided by Puraclean GmbH, a subsidiary of mycon GmbH.

Cleaning demountable plate heat exchangers with the PowerMaster system

Dismountable plate heat exchangers can be cleaned quickly and gently using the PowerMaster system from mycon GmbH. The PowerMaster blasting system works with small quantities of water (0.5 to 1 liter per minute) and compressed air (2 to 8 bar). Various nozzle types and sizes are available for PowerMaster so that the device can be adapted to almost any requirement.

Cold store cleaning processes – safety through certification

In addition to cleaning heat exchangers, Kipp Umwelttechnik also cleans cold stores. A process developed by mycon GmbH and a cleaner also developed by mycon GmbH are used for this purpose. Processes and cleaners are available from Wessling, Hanover has been officially tested and certified. As an accredited laboratory, Wessling stands for excellent quality in high-grade laboratory analysis and engineering consulting services.

Both food compatibility and safety are ensured by the certification, including the mycon operating instructions. By commissioning Kipp Umwelttechnik GmbH, a safe and food-safe cleaning process is guaranteed. The process has clear advantages over other methods:

  • Cold stores can remain in operation during cleaning,
  • Goods can remain in the cold store during cleaning (only approx. 40 % open space is required),
  • No transfer of goods to refrigerated containers, therefore no additional personnel costs,
  • No interruption of the cold chain,
  • The deep-freeze temperature is maintained, so there are no additional energy costs for re-cooling,
  • Savings on renting a refrigerated container,
  • Little time required (approx. 5 hours for 45 m²).
